Bible facts. Thats right...these things are actually true about the bible. lol

I was thinking earlier while looking through a bible: How much paper do they waste on this crap? After all, I'm a pretty evironmentally minded person.

well, I looked into it and this is what I found.

1 tree makes about 8 1/2 bibles. and there were about 60,000,000 copies of the 1879 edition that were printed.

Can you imagine all of the other editions? There are literally millions of other prints out there!
Not to mention mine's wrapped in genuine leather with flashy trim to pretty it up.

Doesn't seem very ecological does it? Oh well...I guess christians only care about the afterlife, not the earth as it will be for everyone else.

If God didn't want his word to be spread than he wouldn't of wrote the bible himself and told us to spread it now would he?! It is our duty to kill trees and spread the word of GOD!!! God bless america and praise the tea party for representing God!!!
hahaha there are so many things wrong with that statement Seth.
If you add sarcasm that statement is very valid.
I concur, there is a lot wrong with that statement. hehe
Nice fact. Never thought of it.
7 million+ trees? What kind of trees? THOSE EVIL BASTARDS...
Where did you find this information? I'm curious to get more coherent facts about the matter but I can't find any page on how many trees go into making Bibles anywhere.
I suggest bibles on Kindle or eBooks or something. Although, it's obvious by the majority of most Christians' extreme reproduction patterns that they don't actually care about a sustainable planet.
then we would have a spike in energy usage. lol it's a lose lose situation.
