Atheistic Lyrics

There are a lot of religious songs out there, just far too many, but very few explicitly godless songs. The only one I've heard is Imagine by John Lennon.

I thought maybe we can all get together & write a few godless song lyrics.

But first, the rules.

i think akshay's intent was that you create your own lyrics, either a fragment or a whole or even an expansion on original lyrics that someone else had already posted

Zappa has more than a few anti-"God" or anti-religion songs. My favorite:

No you goof balls. Akshay wants us to come up with our own lyrics. But as far as all this copy write stuff - I am a goof ball - it's too hard for me to figure out.

Okay well I'm worn out, but this is what I have so far. Might work on it some more when I get proper sleep :P

You bitch and whine and moan about how the world is so alone,
How we need salvation from our trepidations and how there simply is no hope,
You preach a love that you can’t show, and tell us what you think you know,
You talk and talk and talk some more, but have you ever stopped to listen before?

We know the reasons behind your lies, we know your truth is a disguise to hide the hate you can’t control, where is the love you claim to know?

Life goes on in this forsaken earth; prayers go out but don’t give birth to anything that makes real sense, except blind belief and false repentance.
Stop giving me reasons to change my views, stop pretending that your beliefs are new.
We’ve done this song and dance before, your logic is flawed and we seek to know more
