The first Brazilian national meeting will take place next sunday , February 12th, in almost every state in Brazil. There are many comments on how this kind of meeting usually doesn't work, and most of them until now, haven't. Have you ever been to an atheist meeting? Why, in your opinion, they don't usually work?

I've never been to one myself, but the ones I've heard of have all been a failure, since almost no one showed up. Below is the official banner of the atheist meeting. Give your opinions!

I've been to several atheist meetups, none of which were failures. We usually had anywhere from 12 to 40 people in attendance. I think that a key part of getting a meeting to succeed is not giving up after the first 2-3 meetings. Sometimes is takes several sessions for it to take off.

I really hope this one works out. I guess after that, it will only get better.
