I think there is huge misunderstanding of Atheists. There needs to be campaign that shows who we really are. My idea is this; I am sure we have all seen the Mormon commercial where they say "I am a teacher, a dad and I am a Mormon". What if there were a commercial like that for Atheist? If we all made a sort video clip and compiled them we could get it out on the net just to show people that we are not horrible people hell bent on the destruction of the world. Show that we are regular people and do not need a religion to hold strong values. Just an idea. I know a few film students that would jump on it for a school project.
