Well, yeah. It's called denial. I'm not surprised that's his reaction.
I thought you were going to talk about this: "[Alex] Jones posted a YouTube video further fanning the false-flag flames, saying that reports of a "controlled explosion” drill, scheduled to coincide with the race, was proof that the FBI was behind the Boston Marathon blasts."
I think that thinking in terms of a conspiracy is more viable when you live in a country where the government manages the news as much as most other countries do. Foreigners see our press as simply an arm of the government and assume that all police are working for the Federal government.
I cant help thinking that the white cap one of the guys was wearing was a bad choice for him that day. Or maybe the white cap is really a secret coded message. I think he had several different colored caps in his backpack ... A red cap might have meant - wait - Ive stopped for a hotdog. You never know
In Australia, do they have that expression whereby a white hat denotes a good guy, a black hat a bad guy? I think the idea came from the cowboy TV series of my youth. The Lone Ranger was a white hat as was Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy and The Cisco Kid wore black hats, though. On the whole, I suppose there were marginally more white-hatted cowboy stars than the ones who wore dark or black cowboy hats.
Not sure where it originated but yes, people in Australia are aware of the white vs black hat theory.
And I think a lot of conspiracy theories begin with denial and then get picked up by others who are simply prone to think in conspiratorial terms.
That very well could be.

No death penalty in Massachusetts.
Doesn't matter, Terrorism is a federal crime. He will be charged in a federal court and federal laws have death penalty
Maybe he'll be charged in a federal court.
Federal courts will probably use the federal definition, which requires proving an intent to affect the government. Police and the FBI, however, have been known to plant the needed evidence.
Here's the 18 USC 2331 definition: the term “domestic terrorism” means activities that
