Hey everyone. I joined a couple months ago and I figured it was about time to introduce myself.

My name is Dan. I currently live near Portland, OR. It's a great city and you should definitely check it out if you are ever in the area.

I grew up in a Christian home with very conservative parents. I was home schooled and attended Christian schools for most of my formal education. Towards the end of 2008 I concluded that I really didn't believe in God anymore.  So I decided to start being honest with myself and stop pretending like I did.

As you can probably guess from my profile pic, I'm still a closet atheist. I think my family may have an idea that I'm no longer a Christian because I never go to church anymore, which is a major change from how I used to be. So it's only a matter of time before I confirm their suspicions. Now is just not a good time.

Anyways, I really like the site. So kudos to Morgan for putting it together. I'll start adding people in my area, and feel free to add me if you want. I look forward to having great discussions with everyone. Later.
