An Athiest Religion?

First I've heard of Raelianism; religion without a god. Atheism meets the X-Files.

Harmless until the "prophet" Rael decides that the Elohim told him to deflower all the 16 year olds in the flock, everyone should give their earthly possessions to the organization and the mother ship is coming so everyone should drink the Kool-Aid.

Gotta love their symbol, a Swastika inside of a Star of David.

This isn't an atheist religion, the Elohim are de facto god(s).

Particularly since Elohim is a Hebrew word which expresses concepts of divinity. It's been used to explicitly identify the god of Israel, as well as to connotate a host of gods, or a pantheon. Hardly atheistic.

The atheist slant is their take not mine. I agree that the Elohim are just another god in a long list of gods. They come an go though few have done it in space ships. Instead of Genesis you have Jean Luc Picard saying "Make it so."
