I have been thinking about alot of stuff that has led me to my decisons and thought processes and one of them was when I was a very young sailor and still "Very Christain" and wanting to live that life. One one of my few days off that I had when I was in Charleston, SC I went and seen a Mike Warnke (Sp?) concert. This was a guy who was supposedly a Satanist Priest among other things. I had heard him before and he was very funny and he was in the navy. I got a ticket, sat as close as i could to the front (In my whites as Mike was also in the navy during Vietnam), and watched his concert. It was a good concert. But then a few months later, he was exposed as pretty much a fraud and I was crushed. I can understand a lie here and there but his major points were all shown to be lies.

Any other former xtians have had a "Xtian hero" of theirs turn out to be a charlatain as most of them are? Just wondering?

Not I, but then I didn't have any 'Christian heroes' back when I was a believer.

Although, now that I think about it, I do recall spending hours trying to find a specific line in Revelations that our new pastor had quoted repeatedly, and having no luck, despite reading through the book twice.
