Permalink Reply by Deborah Loraine Kean on October 24, 2011 at 1:32am Most of these "contradictions" depend on the contrast between the Old and New Testaments, and on deliberate misinterpretations... such as the decision that a reference to the Trinity refers to three Gods! (1 John 5.7). That I think, is just bizarre!
The view of God in the NT is much more developed than the view of God in the Old.

Permalink Reply by Ron Humphrey on April 14, 2013 at 11:54am It is pathetic the way believers try to explain everything away. Or they just don't see a problem. Tosay thee are no contradictions in the Bible is ludicrous. Clearly and plainly there are. And it does not matter on bit whether the contradiction is fundamental or trivial. A contradiction is a contradiction and if the Bible is supposed to be the word of an all knowing god, then there should not be one thing in it which is not true.
But many of the contradictions cited cannot be simultaneously true.
