Our guest for this episode is neurobiologist Dr. Dean Buonomano.
Dr. Buonomano is a Professor of Neurobiology and Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research explores how computations emerge from neural networks, the neural basis of learning and memory, and how the brain processes and tells time.
His new book Brain Bugs does what the subtitle says, showing how the brain’s flaws shape our lives. Dr. Buonomano joins us to talk about the subject of his book, illuminating, as the book’s product description says, “the causes and consequences of these "bugs" in terms of the brain's innermost workings and their evolutionary purposes.”
Please join us for what is sure to be a fascinating talk!
