Event Description

Think Atheist is now holding regular monthly meetings (the third Monday of every month) to discuss topics of interest and simply enjoy the company of other free-thinkers! The site founder, Morgan Matthew, will be in attendance, as well as site administrators, Cara Coleen and Robert Karp.

Please RSVP if you plan on attending. We will head over to Razorbacks afterwards if anyone would like to join us for drinks.

If you are not in the Baltimore area but would like to host your own Think Atheist meet-up, please feel free to contact Morgan Mathew.

Ukazoo Books is located in the Dulaney Plaza on Dulaney Valley Road at Fairmount Avenue in Towson, Maryland, across from the Towson Town Center. We are located above Record & Tape Traders.

Directions

To reach Ukazoo Books by car, take I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) toward Towson. Take exit 27A for Dulaney Valley Rd/MD-146 S toward Towson. Dulaney Plaza will be on your right after approximately half a mile. The bookstore is located in the back of the plaza.

Here is the discussion containing the map where we're meeting before the Rally. If you haven't already joined this group, do so! It's much easier to stay in contact there rather than depending on these event pages for communication. :)

How many people attended?

I wonder if online meetings using skype or another group conferencing software would work.

I hope you're all still following this event (even though it's passed)! Here is a link to a group I've created for our meet-up group. It's a more centralized way of communicating instead of having to wait for each monthly meeting. If you have any ideas for events or activities, you'd like to be kept up to date on what we're scheming, or you're simply interested in keeping up with the friends you've made... join this group! We'll post information about the Reason Rally there and in the Reason Rally event.

Well, looks like the weather held out!  So my mom and I will definitely be there.  I think I'm going to make some banana bread or something to bring too.  But don't be surprised if there are some slices missing, because there's no way my boys will let me out the door without giving them some too.

Just giving a soft nudge to remind you the meet-up is tomorrow at 7! I hope the weather holds out and everyone can make it! See ya soon :)

I have never been to one of these, but, if weather permits, I would like to come.

True, but we can deal with driving in rain, just not snow.  And if I'm there, my mom will definitely be there too.  You might as well know my dirty, little secret now, I don't drive. I'm simply terrified of it, don't know why.  So, the only way I can come is if she takes me. I will pass it along though, it will make her happy to know that she's wanted there.  :)

The weather was bad for the last meet-up as well! What gives?!

If you do come, tell your mom we hope she comes along :)

At this point, the weather will depend upon whether we come or not.  If it snows, then we won't be there.  It is is clear out, then we will.  Hoping it is clear, and looking forward to seeing everyone again, and hopefully some new faces as well.

I grew up not THAT far from Baltimore, like 45 minutes away to the north or so, in Fallston, Maryland - in Harford County - and my high school graduation was at Towson University actually! I'm not sure how close Towson is to Baltimore honestly and I think you may be closer to where I grew up and further from where I am post-high school now - which is when I'm home with my dad and brother we're in Potomac Maryland near Washington D.C., also about 45 minutes or so from Baltimore. This doesn't seem quite convenient enough for my dad to want to go to I don't think... :P And my brother is stuck at College Park going to college, I'm all the way up in Boston myself in Massachusetts also going to college. All 3 of us would love to come to one of these sometime though, maybe if you host one in the summer we'll all make the trip. I'm not sure. We're all atheists though and this would definitely be fun. :D And also we all have the last name Karp lol just like site administrator Robert Karp. :P I've never met another person with the last name Karp with a K in real life before (nor have I actually met one who spelled it differently either). ;)
