I plan to be there. My arrangements should be finalized Thursday, but one way or another, I plan to be there! :)

Shabaka, I'm just the messenger (and late to the party, at that!)  I am not a member of the National Atheist Party (or whoever...), nor did I invite the WBC.  I'd just as soon that they NOT be there, but you know: I bet they were going to show up, anyhow.  At least THIS way, we can be seen as taking the high road.  We just have to make sure that we don't wind up hurling rocks down on them FROM our "high road" this Saturday!

Boothby are we allowed to discuss this invite?  Would people consider it diversive?  See I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box by far (I too indigenous) but this statement in the letter confuses me.  Can you make it clear given that the word ecumenical refers to the "universal" church.

"we felt it appropriate to reach across the ecumenical aisle and invite them to the Reason Rally,” continued Boyle. “If any group in America could benefit from exposure to secular thought, it is Westboro."

I would love to go. I've got a ride up and a ride back, I just need a place to stay and I'll be set. The only open hotel in my price range is really sketchy, so if anyone has an open couch, I would be very grateful.

Boothby...well I suppose we are human too...:)  but I'm not sure it's a good idea. It seems it makes us no different than anyone else with a "cause" or "agenda."

Shabaka...(re. "Why?") Media attention?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if TA members that are going are meeting somewhere in DC (^_^)?

See? This is where it stinks to be an atheist! Otherwise, we could pray for a clear day! Damn!
