Think Atheist is proud to announce that it will be holding regular monthly meetings to discuss topics of interest and simply enjoy the company of other free-thinkers! The site founder, Morgan Matthew, will be in attendance, as well as site administrators, Cara Coleen and Robert Karp.
We are open to topic suggestions! Also, the Reason Rally is just around the corner; we can go as a group to that event, and to other future events. We hope this group will evolve into a fun and useful resource for local atheists/agnostics/free-thinkers.
Please RSVP so we can decide on an appropriate venue to gather. Each monthly meet-up will be listed as an event, so RSVP to each. Thanks!
If you are not in the Baltimore area but would like to host your own Think Atheist meet-up, please feel free to contact Morgan Mathew.
Directions
To reach Ukazoo Books by car, take I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) toward Towson. Take exit 27A for Dulaney Valley Rd/MD-146 S toward Towson. Dulaney Plaza will be on your right after approximately half a mile. The bookstore is located in the back of the plaza.

Comment
I'll be there, and happy about it! I guess I just got lucky there is this greater Baltimore 'think-tank'. I suppose it could just as well have been anywhere else. It's my first meeting - what happens?
Comment by Sheila Faulstich on January 8, 2012 at 10:18pm I cannot wait to meet other like minded people!
Comment by Wayne Mowery on January 8, 2012 at 7:11pm This meeting sounds exciting! I live in Middle River when I'm not studying at the University of Maryland. I'd be interesting in holding one of these meetings in the College Park area for those of us stationed around Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. I live too close, there's no excuse! I'll see you all on Monday!
Comment by Danny Sanchez on January 7, 2012 at 10:23pm I understand Cara I don't mean to sound like I'm talking shit I'm just a little bummed I can't make. If we have one in the NY city area I would be able to make it durring the week. I would host an event myself but things are slow at work and I'm kind of living paycheck to paycheck right now
Comment by erik112358 on January 7, 2012 at 10:18pm Just saw this, and will definitely be there (as well as Reason Rally). I recently moved to DC from St Louis, so it'll be good to get out and explore. Haven't been to Baltimore yet.
Comment by Cara Coleen on January 7, 2012 at 9:02pm I'm sorry to those of you that cannot make it on a Monday. Unfortunately, Monday is the only day that all three of us were available. We can certainly try to mix up the days once we get the meet-up underway. There's definitely potential for different people, on different nights, to host the meet-up in the future. Don't lose hope! We want to meet all of you :)
Comment by Danny Sanchez on January 7, 2012 at 7:50pm I've been looking forward to something like this so I'm very disappointed that it is scheduled on a Monday. I would gladly drive the 4 hours to the meet-up if it were on the weekend or even a Friday night.
Comment by Mike Fundaro on January 7, 2012 at 12:41pm Not that far from me distance-wise, but getting from Northern Virginia to Towson on a Monday evening would take the better part of three hours, so I won't be able to make it.
Comment by Cara Coleen on January 6, 2012 at 9:30am Anyone that would like to go but is too far, remember you can host your own Think Atheist meet-up in your area! :)
Comment by James Womack on January 5, 2012 at 8:23pm I'm in Northeast Georgia... Google Maps says it's a 10½ hour drive. So I probably won't make it. Ever. Thanks anyway! :)
