Our 20th episode features Dr. Hector Avalos.

Dr. Avalos is a professor of Religious Studies at Iowa State University with PhD's in the Hebrew Bible and Near Eastern Studies from Harvard. In addition to being a vocal critic of "Intelligent Design"/Creationism, his interests run from health care in the Ancient Near East to the foundation of religious violence and the conflict between religion and science. His books include Healthcare and the Rise of Chrsitianity, Fighting Words: The Origins of Religious Violence, and The End of Biblical Studies. He has also contributed to both the John Loftus edited anthologies, The Christian Delusion and The End of Chrsitianity.
