Celebrating and remembering the life of Christopher Hitchens on the date of his birth, April 13th. Let's lift a glass of Johnnie Walker Black, with a splash of Perrier, to the Bard of Atheism. If you smoke, a standard cigarette will do but a fine Cuban Cigar would be a tribute.

Comment by Heather Spoonheim on April 10, 2012 at 5:21pm Holy crap, Reg, that video makes me think I need to run to the pharmacy for the morning after pill!
The Journey not the destination......
Comment by SteveInCO on April 3, 2012 at 10:36am Same day as Thomas Jefferson, too, and that will be true forever, not just this year. (Hey maybe Easter will actually fall ON Hitch day some year soon. Or better yet, Good Friday.)
Well we have Lincoln/Darwin or Darwin/Lincoln day, now we can have Jefferson/Hitchens or Hitchens/Jefferson day.
(Please let's not have a bloodbath over which name comes first for either of the two days!)
(PS research shows the next April 13 Easter will be in 2031 followed by another in 2036. April 15 easters, implying April 13 Good Fridays, will next show up in 2063 and 2074--we missed one in 2001. Mark your calendars.)
Comment by Heather Spoonheim on April 3, 2012 at 9:23am It's perfect! :D
Excellent. The man is having his birthday on Friday 13th and a few days after Easter Sunday. How Hitch is that haha !!!
Comment by Heather Spoonheim on March 31, 2012 at 10:31pm Buy a latte, or get a really rich chocolate shake - just raise a glass!
Comment by SteveInCO on March 31, 2012 at 10:27pm I don't drink alky, but I will find something bad for me to indulge in.
Comment by Heather Spoonheim on March 13, 2012 at 12:21am A friend was kind enough to bring me back an authentic Cuban Cohiba Esplendido to smoke while sipping Johnnie Walker Black for the big day. Check out this cigar!
