Comet ISON, officially; C/2012 S1. will arrive late December next year, willbe so bright that you can see it in day light. the popular press will no doubt call this comet the new star of Bethlehem.

Already the conspiracy theorist and apocalyptic thinkers have glommed on, saying things like; the archaeologist got it wrong about the Mayan calendar, that a true interpretation of the  Mayan calendar would put its ending at 2013 and that this comet marks the end of the world.

At any rate this seems like a spectacular show, covering 2/3 of the night sky, for us next year and bring much public attention to astrophysics in general.

I am not attending for a very good reason. I live in Australia.  That said, I would LOVE to set up something the same as you are doing in Baltimore, here in Queensland.
