Think Atheist will be hosting the official Apocalypse Party for The End of the World. Wear your survival gear, bring non-perishable food items, and maybe some booze to take the edge off your sense of impending doom.
Whether the world ends or not, we'll have a great time. Not only that but, if the world doesn't end, we'll donate all our leftover non-perishables to a charity (yet to be determined)... and since the Holidays are right around the corner, the timing is clearly preordained.
Keep checking back here for updates. We're really hoping you'll have a night free during the busy holidays to hang out with some fellow heathens and do a little good while having a lot of fun!

Thanks for the posting.
Comment by Paul Zink on December 12, 2012 at 1:54am Wish I could calypso at the Apocalyso party in Baltimore, but impossible, sorry. Have fun, all!
Comment by Erich J. Knight on December 11, 2012 at 11:18pm Comet ISON, officially; C/2012 S1. will arrive late December next year, willbe so bright that you can see it in day light. the popular press will no doubt call this comet the new star of Bethlehem.
Already the conspiracy theorist and apocalyptic thinkers have glommed on, saying things like; the archaeologist got it wrong about the Mayan calendar, that a true interpretation of the Mayan calendar would put its ending at 2013 and that this comet marks the end of the world.
At any rate this seems like a spectacular show, covering 2/3 of the night sky, for us next year and bring much public attention to astrophysics in general.

Comment by Mikayla Granger on November 30, 2012 at 4:12pm I would attend if I lived in Maryland. I live in South Carolina. Do you mind if I do something sort of like this for some people in South Carolina??
Comment by Tracey on November 18, 2012 at 4:07am I am not attending for a very good reason. I live in Australia. That said, I would LOVE to set up something the same as you are doing in Baltimore, here in Queensland.
Would you be OK with that??
